| Use: | Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, is a fat-soluble vitamin. Vitamin D3 improves the body's absorption of calcium and phosphorus, saturates plasma calcium and plasma phosphorus levels, and also promotes growth and bone calcification and sound teeth. Vitamin D3 increases phosphorus absorption through the intestinal wall and increases phosphorus reabsorption through the renal tubules to maintain normal levels of citrate in the blood and to prevent amino acid loss through the kidneys.
