| Use: | Folic acid is an important B water-soluble vitamin, named for the very high abundance of it in green leaves, and also known as natriuretic glutamate. Folic acid can improve megaloblastic anemia, and a safe amount of folic acid intake by pregnant women can prevent hardening of the blood vessels, fetal deformities, and preterm delivery. Lactating women can promote milk secretion by supplementing folic acid. Folic acid supplementation can improve redness and pain of the tongue, mental depression, fatigue and insomnia. Folic acid supplementation also prevents intestinal parasites and food poisoning, promotes skin health, and propagates oral mucosal ulcers. Folic acid taken with pantothenic acid as well as para-aminobenzoic acid can prevent gray hair and can promote appetite when taken in a weakened state. |
